The Challenge

Bennet owns 72 hypermarkets and superstores in addition to 50 shopping centers with more than 1,350 stores.

The integration of hypermarkets, shopping malls and outlets has generated a significant increase in the number of point of sales, highlighting the need to manage the exchange of key information with the headquarters in a timely, rapid and controlled manner. Daily communication between stores and headquarters involves accounting information, information about sales, deliveries, orders and price changes on products.

To guarantee business continuity in a growing and competitive industry such as retail, Bennet had to ensure that this exchange of information and data happened on time, securely and smoothly.

 

The Solution

Bennet needed to integrate a great variety of information coming from heterogeneous applications used in each point of sales. In this scenario, Data Integration was identified as the best approach as it allowed to integrate data between sources, with no impacts on the many existing applications that continued to run autonomously.

By adopting Primeur’s technology, Bennet optimized the flow of information between the outlets and the headquarter, including:

  • Daily exchange of accounting and financial information (invoices, sold goods, price variations) from each store to the headquarter
  • Information on promotional campaigns and coupon redemptions, to enable stores to run such campaigns smoothly
  • Orders and deliveries information, shared with Bennet’s network of partners, warehouses and suppliers, to ensure good logistics performances
  • Data related to sold goods are also collected and used to check the stock levels and place the right orders when a replenishment is needed, to avoid shortages in stores.

 

Results

Bennet’s Data Integration solution collects the required data from the right sources at predetermined times. This allows Bennet to access always up-to-date information and leverage it to perform effective monitoring and enable quick decisions.

All accounting and sales data can be immediately analyzed by the management, who can take the most appropriate actions regarding stores, suppliers and logistic partners.
