Information specific to SPAZIO MFT/S ver. 2.3 for Distributed Platforms product

To resolve your case, we need some further information. The more information you can provide now, the more rapidly we should be able to respond to your problem.

Configuration files and traces should be sent as an email attachment in a zip file unless this is very large, in which case please inform us and we will provide you with a userid and password which will allow you to put the files onto our FTP server.

In the following we have used the SPAZIO variable using the UNIX notation $SPAZIO. For WINDOWS the notation should be read as %SPAZIO%.

Installation type

Please specify whether the installation was:

  • an existing TEST environment
  • an existing PRODUCTION environment
  • a NEW TEST installation
  • a NEW PRODUCTION installation

Problem Description

Provide a detailed description (depending on the information you have regarding the problem) by specifying:

  • The operation that produces the error (configuration, start-up, transmission, compression, encryption, etc.)
  • Error description and reason codes
  • Any changes to the system since the last successful run (hardware and software)
  • When the problem occurred (date and time)
  • Specify if it was the first time, repetition of the occurrence, under which conditions
  • Interaction of the product with other applications/products
  • Any indication useful for reproducing the error in the lab

SPAZIO Version and Refresh Pack

SPAZIO Version is obtained:

  • On all platforms, from bin directory:
    spaziovers

The displayed banner shows the product version and the installed refresh packs.

Configuration Files

Provide the following configuration files:

  • $SPAZIO\cfg\*
  • $SPAZIO\spazio.ini
  • $SPAZIO\spazio.lic
  • $SPAZIO\spos.ini

Log Files

The log files must be provided (making sure they relate to the incident with date and time) in ZIP format and sent to the PRIMEUR HelpDesk:

  • $SPAZIO\log\*

Communication

Provide the following details:

  • Line type (ISC, ISCL, JXP, TCP, MTP, HTTP)
  • Line trace (see section on trace below)

Transports

Provide the following details:

  • Name of the relevant remote node and used transport
  • Transport trace (see section on trace below)

Routing/Acquiring

Provide the following details:

  • Name and type (local, remote, DQL) of the relevant queue
  • Tool (FILETACQ, FILETDSP, other Spazio utilities and options used for the failing operation
  • Queue Manager trace (see section on trace below)

Events

Provide the following files:

  • The batch file that is triggered by the event
  • Event manager trace (see section on trace below)

Traces

Files

The trace files must be provided in ZIP format and sent to the PRIMEUR HelpDesk:

  • $SPAZIO\trace\*

In order to set up the trace files you must specify in the SPSMON.INI configuration file:

Queue Manager Trace

Provide the following output file: QueueManagerName.trc (QueueManagerName is the used Queue Manager).

In order to set up the trace files you must specify in the SPQM.INI configuration file:
[QM_i]
Trace = 3

TCP Line Trace

Provide the following output files: sd_(linename).trc, sd_(linename).hex.

In order to set up the trace files you must specify in the SPLINE.INI configuration file:
[CommLine_i]

ISC / ISCL Line Trace

Provide the following output files: sd_(linename).trc, sd_(linename).hex.

In order to set up the trace files you must specify in the SPLINE.INI configuration file:

JXP Line Trace

Provide the following output file: sd_(linename).trc, sd_(linename)_gtw.trc

In addition you have to provide the file spxp.(linename).trace (default) by setting up in the spxp.(linename).properties configuration file:
