SPAZIO MFT/S for z/OS ver. 2.3.1

SPAZIO MFT/S is a comprehensive file transfer and management solution, able to cope with multiple heterogeneous platforms and communication protocols for a secure and efficient transfer.

SPAZIO MFT/S supports a wide range of HW/SW platforms, communication protocols (TCP, SNA), Internet protocols (HTTP(S), FTP(S), SMTP(S)), middleware (IBM WebSphere MQ) and OEM file transfers (Connect:Direct, NetView, XCOM, etc.). Working in conjunction with the complementary SPAZIO Orchestration Suite, it also provides Management capabilities on other transport types at Customer sites.

SPAZIO MFT/S is based on the de-coupling of systems involved in the exchange of files and is also available for direct connections. Its embedded Data Security and compression features allow for an efficient and secure transmission and make it particularly suitable for complex and heterogeneous environments.

Management, transformation and connection features can be added, making the product a truly comprehensive integration instrument.

New Features and Enhancements

• API for information contained in the license
  - A new API is available that exposes information on the expiration of the SPAZIO product and of the individual components installed
• RACF authorization for SDFUTIL commands
  - It is now possible to specify which users are authorized to execute which SDFUTIL commands and on which Queue Managers
• Support for GDG datasets in routing/transport/acquisition
  - The router, acquirer and transport on the z/OS platform are able to manage GDG files, internal and external, at both origin and destination
• Support for shared files in routing to remote Queue Managers
  - Complete management has been introduced for shared files routed to a remote Queue Manager. This support concerns the transfer of files residing on disks shared between origin and destination systems
• Support for multi-volume sequential files in routing/transport/acquisition
  - In the file acquisition and/or routing script it is now possible to specify a list of output file volumes
• Support for large-format sequential files in routing/transport/acquisition
  - The product is now able to manage these file types correctly. It is also possible to specify the allocation of a large-format output file in the acquisition and/or routing script
• Update to Orchestration Suite Agent filter
