SPAZIO MFT/S for z/OS V2R3 Refresh Pack 2

SPAZIO MFT/S is a comprehensive file transfer and management solution, able to cope with multiple heterogeneous platforms and communication protocols for a secure and efficient transfer.

SPAZIO MFT/S supports a wide range of HW/SW platforms, communication protocols (TCP, SNA), Internet protocols (HTTP(S), FTP(S), SFTP, SMTP(S)) and other Managed File Transfers products (Connect:Direct, NetView, XCOM, etc.). Working in conjunction with the complementary SPAZIO Orchestration Suite, it also provides Management capabilities on other transport types at Customer sites.

SPAZIO MFT/S is based on the de-coupling of systems involved in the exchange of files and is also available for direct connections. Its embedded Data Security and compression features allow for an efficient and secure transmission and make it particularly suitable for complex and heterogeneous environments.

Management, transformation and connection features can be added, making the product a truly comprehensive integration instrument.

Features and Enhancements

z/OS 1.9, 1.10, 1.11 operating systems compatibility

Tthe product is compatible and certified with z/OS 1.9, 1.10 and 1.11 operating systems.

New router/acquirer mono phase

Starting from this release, 2 new utilities are provided to route and acquire files in SPAZIO:

• SDFUROU to route the file(s)
• SDFUACQ to acquire the file(s)

These new interfaces need a single step to be executed and should be used in preference of the old router / acquirer utilities. The single step has been introduced to improve the usability and consistency of the product.

When you use this features with scheduler, is more easy to create Jobs.

All the new enhancements will be implemented in the new preferred interface (see PDS/PDSE data set management).

PDS/PDSE data set management

Starting from this release, support for PDS/PDSE has been introduced in the new router/acquirer mono phase.

The router-acquirer mono phase and transport on the z/OS platform are able to manage the files of this type, at both origin and destination; in input it is possible to select/exclude the specified members.

The PDS/PDSE support is intended to be used only between z/OS platform.
