Spazio Ad Hoc

A solution allowing auditing and secure management of all the files sent via an e-mail client or an application

When exchanging documents with internal and external parties, companies use a wide variety of methods. Some of these - such as corporate e-mail, free e-mail programs, FTP (File Transfer Protocol) or peripheral devices such as CDs or USB pen drives - do not provide certainty that the files have in fact been sent and/or received. Most importantly, however, these systems do not provide control and traceability of the data sent and do not prevent either accidental exposure or, even worse, exposure of sensitive company information to obvious security risks.

To address these critical issues Primeur has developed Spazio Ad Hoc: a new enterprise class that can securely manage the occasional exchange of files of any size using either an email client or an application.

The main advantages of the Primeur solution include:

• 360° security for outgoing files, which are subject to policies and secured through encryption, access, authentication and traceability
• Lower operating costs and better deployment of the solution because the files are managed centrally at the mail server level, regardless of the type of e-mail program used
• Optimization of the mail server which no longer gets congested with email attachments, and reduced consumption of bandwidth
• Monitoring, control and auditing functionality in order to comply with service level agreements
• Alert system signaling, encryption and notification of those in charge of the system in the case of policy violation.

Spazio Ad Hoc includes all the specifications of a traditional secure Managed File Transfer system. But unlike such a system - which requires the configuration of complex addresses and network protocols between the parties involved - the Primeur solution uses more intuitive interfaces (as in the case of an email client) and is easy to implement. In fact, to activate it you just need to have the email address of the recipient and Spazio Ad Hoc allows you to send files using any email client (PC, Mac) and any peripheral (PDA, cell phone).
