Primeur announces a suite of new "File Transfer Products" for IBM WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition

Announcement extends File Transfer to SOA implementation improving ROI and cost reductions available through of single MQ infrastructure

Genoa, April 30 2009. Primeur - an Italian multinational company specializing in Managed File Transfer, Security and Governance Solutions – announces that at the IBM Impact 09 conference in Las Vegas, they will be unveiling their new products for File Transfer. In addition, Primeur will be partnering with IBM to show how its products can further extend the value of IBM’s WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition (WMQ). These new products will help companies to modernize their file transfer and achieve significant cost reductions when using a WMQ infrastructure for both messages and Secure Managed File Transfer.

This Primeur’s line of products, called SPAZIO MFT/S Enterprise Suite, is based on SPAZIO, a technology Primeur has developed over the years, and it is made up of three product suites that can easily integrate with IBM solutions in a Service Oriented Architecture environment:

• SPAZIO File Services Provider Suite: a complete solution, designed and built in order to meet all the requirements of file transfer, to make it both managed and secure, even in multi-protocol and multi-platform environments.
• SPAZIO File Services Governance: a solution capable of providing End-to-End visibility of flow of files for all the most widely used File Transfer products.
• SPAZIO File Services Security Suite: an Enterprise class cryptographic solution for data security that uses standard and interoperable formats and algorithms.

During IMPACT 2009, IBM and Primeur will present a session on "Using WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition to Modernize and Reduce File Transfer Costs". This joint session will help show how organizations can have a cost effective transition to IBM WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition (MQ FTE) from File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and expensive proprietary file transfer products. Primeur’s technology, when integrated with IBM’s solution, can provide companies with significant productivity and security improvements helping to extend an Enterprise Service Bus/Service Oriented Architecture implementation to include files as well as messages.

The presentation will be led by Ben Mann, IBM Product Manager of WebSphere MQ-SOA Messaging backbone, and Peter Sedgwick, Director of Primeur UK & Northern Europe, and it will take place on Wednesday 6th May from 4.45pm to 6.00pm in the Venetian Delfino Room 4105.
