PRIMEUR positioned in Visionaries Quadrant of 2008 Magic Quadrant for Managed File Transfer

Evaluation based on completeness of vision and ability to execute

Genova, Italy - July 9th, 2008

PRIMEUR, a privately held Italian International company specializing in Business Integration, Security and Systems Management, today announced that it has been positioned in the Visionaries Quadrant of the newly released “Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed File Transfer” report published on June 23rd, 2008.

According to Gartner, “Visionaries understand the market and customer requirements well, but have fewer assets available or committed to the pursuit of this particular market than leaders do. Specific to the MFT Suite market, visionaries offer the functionality requirements often requested by Type A companies, such as an SOA with interoperable interfaces, BPM and an ISE for design and modeling. However, many visionaries compete in multiple markets, trying to balance and juggle resources and marketing messages.”

“We are delighted to be positioned in the visionaries quadrant and I believe this is a reflection of how our customers in Europe view us”, said Edoardo Musso, President & CEO. “With our SPAZIO MFT/S solution, PRIMEUR will continue to provide leading and innovative solutions for Managed File Transfer which can work in a SOA and that can be deployed with Integration Brokers, ESB, and Application Servers. As we invest and extend our geographical penetration outside Europe, we look forward to further enhancing and consolidating our market position”.

According to the report, “Numerous factors cause companies to re-examine how they manage the movement of information from system to system, partner to partner and person to person. FTP alone is not a viable option to give you the insight, security, performance and, ultimately, the risk mitigation necessary to responsibly conduct business”.

About SPAZIO MFT/S

SPAZIO MFT/S is different to other file transfer solutions as it is built upon an asynchronous store and forward file box. This enables application decoupling, even when the transfer is using a synchronous protocol (e.g FTP or SFTP) and can deliver the enterprise wide benefits for file movement that were seen when messaging and queuing solutions, such as WebSphereMQ, were delivered for asynchronous message movement.

SPAZIO MFT/S meets and exceeds the requirements for a Managed File Transfer solution by offering Multi-Enterprise Collaboration (e.g. FTP, SFTP, AS2), Intra-Enterprise File Transfer (e.g. Governance, Security, heterogeneous platforms including z/OS, and Scheduler Integration), and 3rd Party Application & Middleware Enablement (e.g. Web Services, BPM/BPEL, JMS, WebSphere Integration, SOA, and a rich set of APIs). SPAZIO MFT/S tracks and monitors all file movements passing through it, regardless of the transfer protocol, in a consistent fashion providing a full and retrievable audit trail of all transfer activity including multi-hop (SOA) transfers.

All activity is tracked and recorded into a relational database which is accessed by a Web based reporting tool. On-line reports can be generated by customer, user, or business area and because it is Web based the users do not need to be technicians – they could be Business Managers or even Customers.
